The Center for Policing Equity (CPE) is a research consortium that promotes police transparency and accountability by facilitating innovative research collaborations between law enforcement agencies and empirical social scientists.
The Center for Policing Equity is looking for a skilled Relationship Coordinator with a passion for social justice. The Relationship Coordinator will seek out new law enforcement partnerships and manage existing partnerships for the Center’s National Justice Database (NJD) project. The NJD is the nation’s first and largest collection of standardized police behavior (e.g., vehicle stops, pedestrian stops, use of force, complaints against officers, etc.). The Relationship Coordinator will work directly with law enforcement personnel to manage their participation in the NJD project. Leveraging data collected through the NJD, CPE provides reports and recommendations to participating departments with the ultimate goals to reduce racially burdensome policing and to empower police departments to improve relationships with the communities they serve. The Relationship Coordinator reports directly to the NJD Project Director.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. However, applications received after September 10, 2019 will receive delayed consideration.
