Description
Citizen Engagement Fellow at Issue One — Remote, but work must be performed in the District of Columbia (U.S.). Published Jan 20, 2026 (4:10 PM). This is a 6-month, part-time fellowship designed for seasoned democracy/governance professionals to bring international experience into U.S. democracy reform work. Fellows act as thought partners and advisors—producing research/analysis and helping Issue One advance reforms around transparency, ethics, accountability, money in politics, voting, and elections.
Qualifications
~10+ years experience in international democracy, governance, civil society strengthening, election integrity, or related fields.
Strong writing, analysis, and conceptual framing skills; ability to translate international experience for U.S. domestic audiences.
Collaborative, independent working style; strong judgment and strategic mindset.
Salary and Benefits
Compensation: $500/month (expects 40 hours/month).
